The above program started out of divine conviction by the Ministry President, Mrs. Florence Funmilayo Ajagbe that the widows among the members would need some gifts during the Christmas and New Year celebration
since their loved one to give them have passed on to glory.
Therefore, during one of the end of year services, she bought some items like oil, rice, and beans and shared them among the widow members of the Ministry.
Subsequently, the project became wider as widows that were not members joined to collect relief any time the Ministry organized a conference and many joined the ministry on the weekly prayer sessions peradventure there may be something for the widows as often possible.
The relief giving has continued since for many years now, at least twice a year, during April/ May conference and December, end of year conference with little external donations/aid and some family members and friends of the Ministry who heard about the relief program and gave helping hands affordable.
The number of widows continued to rise almost unbearable, a times more than 500 widows and very few widowers were given food items like beans, rice, semovita, groundnut oil, clothing materials, yam, gari, condiments and money.
Sometimes, when there was nothing to give, biscuits/snacks with water were served to the disappointment of some widows that came for the conference. In inclusive, there are some widows that could not pay their children school fees, could not feed them, and could not pay either house rent, only little the ministry could render to such widows.
However, the Ministry is moving on to the glory of God. To be able to continue this laudable and worthy relief to the widows, the Ministry needs helping hands in donations as God leads from people who are equally convinced that this group of people needs some relief especially with the present hardship condition in the country.
As you donate towards this program , the Lord will provide and reward you more abundantly beyond human comprehension in Jesus' Name.
GIVE WIDOWS RELIEF! GOD BLESS AS YOU DO!
