Message of Salvation Women Ministry began with a vision started in the heart of Mrs. Florence Funmilayo Ajagbe while she was in the Civil Service of the Kwara State Ministry of Health, Ilorin, Nigeria.
She brought the vision to God wanting to know whether it is a call from Him or her own wishful thinking. As soon as she was convinced it was a call to serve Him, and the rudimentary work began on it, she realized it needed more attention and not something she could do as a part-time service, she resigned from the service of the Kwara State government in 1995 in obedience to God's call to serve in His Ministry.
The vision was not however materialized as a Ministry (then called Calvary) until five years later when a non-denominational prayer group of Christian women was formed and used her house as a meeting place.
It was eventually and systematically established, and run with well-articulated principle, practices, rules and regulations that reflect in the way members evangelise to women in towns and villages. As the group increased in size and additional activities were introduced, structural modification like an office, a prayer and seminar Hall were required.
When the registration process of the Ministry began it was not possible to use the name because a similar name had been registered, so it was decided to take a new name ‘Message Of Salvation Women Ministry’.
